Chocolate Peppermint Bark

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 2 ½ cups high-quality white chocolate
  • ¼ tsp peppermint extract
  • ½ cup crushed candy canes

Instructions:

  1. Melt semi-sweet chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring between each.
  2. Stir in the peppermint extract.
  3. Pour melted chocolate onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or 9-inch square pan. Chill 10 minutes in the freezer or 15–20 minutes in the fridge.
  4. Melt white chocolate the same way (low heat, 30-second intervals—white chocolate burns easily).
  5. Pour the melted white chocolate over the chilled chocolate layer and spread evenly.
  6. Immediately sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
  7. Chill until fully set, then cut into squares or triangles.
