Ingredients:
Cookie Dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are set and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Storage
- Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Refrigerator: Up to 5 days.
- Freezer: Freeze baked cookies for up to 2 months.
