Cheesy Taco Sticks for Dinner

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional for Serving

  • Sour cream
  • Salsa
  • Guacamole

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Drain excess grease, then add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into equal strips or rectangles.
  6. Spoon seasoned beef onto the center of each dough piece. Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Fold or roll the dough around the filling, sealing the edges.
  8. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
