Ingredients:
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 4 cups green beans (2 cans drained, 1 (16 oz) frozen, or 1½ lb fresh)
- 1⅓ cups crispy French fried onions, divided
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch casserole dish.
- If using fresh green beans, trim and blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes; drain. If using canned, drain well.
- In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce until smooth.
- Stir in green beans, ⅔ cup of the fried onions, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Spread mixture evenly in the prepared casserole dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes. Remove, stir, and top with remaining onions.
- Return to oven and bake 5 more minutes, until onions are golden and crispy.
