Campbell’s Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups green beans (2 cans drained, 1 (16 oz) frozen, or 1½ lb fresh)
  • 1⅓ cups crispy French fried onions, divided
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch casserole dish.
  2. If using fresh green beans, trim and blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes; drain. If using canned, drain well.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce until smooth.
  4. Stir in green beans, ⅔ cup of the fried onions, and black pepper. Mix well.
  5. Spread mixture evenly in the prepared casserole dish.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove, stir, and top with remaining onions.
  7. Return to oven and bake 5 more minutes, until onions are golden and crispy.
