Ingredients:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 cup toffee bits (such as Heath or Skor)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Batter: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until well combined.
- Add the Toffee: Fold in the toffee bits (and chocolate chips, if using) into the batter.
Spread in Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula. - Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The edges should be golden brown.
Cool and Slice: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
