Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup pecans (or walnuts), finely chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in salt and vanilla, then gradually add flour until just combined. Fold in pecans.
  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  5. Bake 8–10 minutes, until bottoms are lightly golden.
  6. Cool 5 minutes, then roll cookies in powdered sugar while warm.
  7. Cool completely and roll again in powdered sugar before serving.
