Butter Naan Recipe

Ingredients:

• 3 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
• 1 tsp instant yeast
• 2 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1/4 cup plain yogurt
• 1/2 cup warm milk
• 2–3 tbsp warm water (as needed)
• 2–3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

2. Add yogurt, oil, and warm milk. Mix everything together. Add warm water little by little and knead into a soft dough.

3. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and soft. The dough should not be hard.

4. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rest in a warm place for 1–2 hours until it doubles in size.

5. After resting, punch the dough gently and divide into medium balls.

6. Take one ball and roll it using a rolling pin into oval or round naan shape. Do not make it too thin.

7. Heat a tawa on medium-high flame. Place the rolled naan on hot tawa. When bubbles appear, flip it and cook the other side until golden brown spots appear.

8. Slightly press with a cloth or spatula to cook evenly.

9. Remove and immediately brush with melted butter.

Soft homemade butter naan is ready
