Bubba Gump Style Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients:

Serves 4

  • 1½ lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

1. Season the Shrimp
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne (if using). Toss to coat evenly.

2. Sauté the Shrimp
Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant. Avoid browning the garlic.

4. Finish the Dish
Return shrimp to the skillet. Add lemon juice and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another minute to heat through.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
