Bourbon and Chocolate Pecan Pie

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the sugar and melted butter.
  3. Add eggs, corn syrup, salt, bourbon, and vanilla; mix until fully blended.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped pecans and chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of the pie shell.
  5. Pour the filling mixture into the pie shell.
  6. Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
