Ingredients:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the sugar and melted butter.
- Add eggs, corn syrup, salt, bourbon, and vanilla; mix until fully blended.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans and chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of the pie shell.
- Pour the filling mixture into the pie shell.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
