Ingredients:
• 1 ripe banana, mashed
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup melted butter
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
• 1/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the mashed banana, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract if using.
- Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon if using. Mix just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
