Banana Bread Cookies

Ingredients:

• 1 ripe banana, mashed
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup melted butter
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
• 1/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mashed banana, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract if using.
  4. Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon if using. Mix just until combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
