Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- ½ cup (about 100 g) granulated sugar
- ¼ cup (about 60 g) melted butter (cooled slightly)
- 1 cup (about 125 g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the banana with a fork until mostly smooth (a few small chunks are fine).
- Add the sugar and melted (cooled) butter to the banana and mix well.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined — do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches (5 cm) between each. Flatten slightly with a fork for even baking.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring.
