Ingredients:
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
- Whisk in melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, if using.
- Spread batter evenly in the pan and bake 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick shows a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely before slicing.
