Homemade Limoncello

Ingredients:

  • 10 large lemons (only the peels, no white pith)
  • 1 liter vodka (or grain alcohol)
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water

Instructions:

  1. Peel lemons thinly (just the yellow part).
  2. Infuse: Place peels in a jar with vodka. Seal and let sit in a cool, dark place for 7–10 days.
  3. Make Syrup: Boil water + sugar until dissolved. Cool.
    Strain lemon peels out of vodka.
    Mix the infused vodka with cooled syrup.
  4. Bottle and chill. Store in freezer for best flavor.
