Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8-count each)
  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Icing from cinnamon roll cans (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Open the cans of cinnamon rolls, separate them, and flatten each one slightly with your hands or a rolling pin.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Cook for 5–7 minutes until the apples are soft and caramelized.
  4. Layer the lasagna:
    • Place half of the flattened cinnamon rolls on the bottom of the dish.
    • Spread half of the apple mixture on top.
    • Repeat with the remaining rolls and apples.
    • Sprinkle nuts on top if using.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Drizzle with the icing from the cinnamon roll cans before serving.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • Add caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
  • Works well as a holiday dessert or brunch treat.
