Sticky Honey Garlic Beef Sausage Pasta Skillet

Ingredients:

Main Dish:

  • 1 lb beef sausage, sliced (Andouille, kielbasa, or any variety you like)
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, rigatoni, or penne)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Directions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until just shy of al dente (about 1-2 minutes less than the package says). Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Sausage:
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced beef sausage. Cook for about 5–6 minutes until browned and slightly crispy on the edges. Remove sausage and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to low and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Add Liquids and Pasta:
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well to combine. Add the pasta back in and let it simmer uncovered for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce starts to reduce and coat the pasta.
  5. Combine Everything:
Return the cooked sausage to the skillet. Toss everything together so the pasta and sausage are well coated in the sticky honey garlic sauce. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes until everything is hot and glossy.
  6. Serve and Garnish (optional):
Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped parsley or red pepper flakes for a little kick!
