Ingredients :
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions :
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. 
 Cream Butter and Sugars:
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
 Add Eggs and Vanilla:
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
 Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the butter mixture.
 Fold in Cherries and Chocolate Chips:
- Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and chocolate chips.
 Form Cookies:
- Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
 Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
 Cool:
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely
