The Ultimate Salisbury Steak Meatballs with Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients :

Meatballs:

  • 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ sweet onion
  • 2 cloves roasted garlic
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms
  • 2 cups beef bone broth
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

Instructions :

  1. Make Meatballs:
    Mix beefbreadcrumbsmilk, egg, oniongarlicWorcestershire, S&P. Roll into 1″ balls (use scoop).
  2. Sear:
    Heat olive oil in cast iron skillet. Brown meatballs 2-3 mins/side. Remove.
  3. Mushrooms:
    Sauté mushrooms 5 mins until golden.
  4. Gravy:
    Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir 1 min.
    Whisk in beef broth + water slowly. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Simmer:
    Return meatballs to gravy. Cover, simmer 10-15 mins.
