Ingredients:
- 2 boxes vanilla wafers
- 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
- 1 container strawberries, sliced
- 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 container whipped topping (8 oz), thawed
- 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- in a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.
- in another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until creamy.
- fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
- combine the pudding mixture with the cream cheese mixture and mix until fully blended.
- in a large serving dish, arrange a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom.
- add a layer of sliced bananas and strawberries.
- spread a layer of the pudding mixture over the fruit.
- repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the pudding layer on top.
- cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
