Breakfast Pigs in Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 12 fully cooked breakfast sausage links
  • 6 original cinnamon rolls (with icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    Open the cinnamon roll package and separate the rolls. Unroll each cinnamon roll into a long strip of dough.
  3. Wrap the Sausages:
    Cut each strip in half to make 12 pieces. Wrap each sausage link with one strip of dough, stretching slightly if needed.
  4. Arrange:
    Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake:
    Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Add Icing:
    Drizzle the included icing over the warm rolls or serve on the side for dipping.
  7. Serve:
    Serve warm for breakfast or brunch.

Notes

  • Make sure the sausage links are fully cooked before wrapping.
  • For a sweet and savory twist, add a light sprinkle of cinnamon sugar before baking.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat before serving.
