Air Fryer Donuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.

2. Shape the Donuts

Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter or two round cutters (one large, one small for the center).

3. Preheat Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3–5 minutes.

4. Cook

Place the donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer (do not overcrowd).
Air fry for 6–8 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.

5. Finish

Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly.

Optional Toppings

  • Dust with powdered sugar
  • Roll in cinnamon sugar
  • Glaze with a simple icing (powdered sugar + milk + vanilla)

Tips

  • Do not overmix the dough to keep donuts soft
  • Cook in batches if needed for even air circulation
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket to prevent sticking
