Baked Pears with Berries, Honey, Walnuts & Blue Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved and cored
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
  • 1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/3 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the pear halves cut-side up in the baking dish.
  3. Brush each pear with melted butter, then drizzle with honey.
  4. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until pears are tender and slightly caramelized.
  6. Remove from oven and top each pear with berries, chopped walnuts, and crumbled blue cheese.
  7. Return to the oven for 5 minutes, just until the cheese softens slightly.
  8. Serve warm with an extra drizzle of honey if desired.
