Easter Chex Mix Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Chex (rice or corn)
  • 1 ½–2 cups Cheerios
  • 1–2 cups pretzel sticks, broken in half
  • 1 cup Easter M&M’s, plus more for topping
  • 10 ounces white chocolate (Ghirardelli wafers recommended)
  • Optional: Easter sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Combine the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine 3 cups Chex, 2 cups Cheerios, 1–2 cups pretzels, and 1 cup M&M’s. Stir until evenly mixed.
  2. Melt the Chocolate
Place 10 ounces of white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute, then stir. Continue melting in 30-second increments, stirring each time, until smooth. Avoid overcooking or the chocolate may burn.
  3. Coat the Mix
Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture and stir until everything is well coated.
  4. Add Toppings
Spread the mixture onto a piece of wax or parchment paper. Sprinkle extra M&M’s or Easter sprinkles on top while the chocolate is still warm.
  5. Set the Chocolate
Allow the mix to set until the chocolate hardens, at least 15 minutes.
  6. Store
Place in a zip-top bag or covered container. Store on the counter for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
  7. Optional
