Ingredients:
For the Bread
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the Cinnamon Sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Optional Vanilla Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough
Lightly grease a loaf pan.
Place the thawed dough into the pan. Using a sharp knife, cut several deep slices across the top (do not cut all the way through).
2. Add Butter and Cinnamon Sugar
Brush melted butter generously over the dough, making sure it seeps into the cuts.
In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle the mixture generously over the dough, pressing it gently into the cuts so every bite is coated.
3. Let It Rise
Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30–45 minutes.
4. Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil during the last 10 minutes.
5. Make the Icing (Optional)
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle over warm bread before serving.
