Ingredients:
For the Dough
- 2 cans original cinnamon rolls (reserve icing packets)
For the Filling
- 1 can apple pie filling
For the Topping
- Cinnamon sugar, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a standard pie dish. - Create the Crust
Separate one can of cinnamon rolls. Flatten each roll and press them into the bottom of the pie dish, sealing edges together to form one even crust. - Add the Filling
Spoon the apple pie filling evenly over the cinnamon roll crust. - Add Extra Spice
Sprinkle cinnamon sugar generously over the apples for extra warmth and flavor. - Top It Off
Pull apart the second can of cinnamon rolls into pieces and scatter them evenly over the top, creating a rustic cobbler-style layer. - Bake
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are puffed and golden brown and the filling is bubbling. - Finish with Icing
Remove from the oven and drizzle the reserved icing over the pie while still warm. - Cool Slightly & Serve
Let cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
