Deliciously Easy Cinnamon Donut Loaf

Ingredients:

For the Loaf

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

For the Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Dash of ground cinnamon
  • 1–2 teaspoons milk (if needed for thinning)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly combined.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients
    In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  4. Combine
    Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Bake
    Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool
    Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Prepare the Glaze
    In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar with a dash of cinnamon. Add milk a little at a time until a smooth drizzle consistency forms.
  8. Glaze and Serve
    Drizzle glaze over the cooled loaf. Allow it to set before slicing and serving.
