Hamburger Green Bean Casserole

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) whole green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 cups crispy fried onions

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the drained green beans.
  5. Spread half of the mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  6. Add remaining beef mixture and top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven, top with crispy fried onions, and return to oven for 5–7 minutes until golden.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
