- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Topping
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Mix the meat: In a large bowl, combine ground beef and ground pork.
- Add flavor: Stir in breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, onion, eggs, milk, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix just until combined—don’t overwork.
- Shape: Press the mixture into a loaf pan or shape into a loaf on the baking sheet.
- Top it: In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread evenly over the meatloaf.
- Bake: Cook for 60–70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Rest: Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.
