Banana Bread Brownies

Ingredients:

For the Brownies

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Cream base: In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Mix in eggs, mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add dry ingredients: Stir in flour and baking soda just until combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool: Allow to cool completely before slicing.

Serving Tips

  • Delicious on their own or topped with a light cream cheese glaze.
  • Even better the next day once flavors settle.
  • Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
