Lemon Cream Cheese Bars

Ingredients:

  • Cooking spray
  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 lemons, zested and juiced
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp white sugar

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil and spray lightly.
  • Press one crescent roll dough evenly into the bottom of the pan.
  • Mix lemon juice, most of the zest, cream cheese, and ½ cup sugar until smooth. Spread over dough.
  • Place the second crescent roll dough on top. Brush with melted butter.
  • Mix remaining sugar with remaining lemon zest and sprinkle over the top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden. Cool 20 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting.
