Ingredients:
Strawberry Layer
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cobbler Batter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and cornstarch. Stir well and set aside.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the melted butter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the milk and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter gently over the melted butter. Do not stir.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture evenly over the batter.
- Top with the strawberry mixture, spreading it gently across the surface.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
