Christmas Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 head broccoli, chopped into florets
  • 1 head cauliflower, chopped into florets
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (optional)

Simple Dressing (Optional but Recommended)

  • ½ cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1–2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, cauliflower, red onion, and cherry tomatoes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, if using.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Serving Tips:

  • Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture.
  • This salad is ideal alongside roasted meats, ham, or turkey.
  • Make it a few hours ahead for easy holiday prep.
