Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Appetizer

 

Ingredients:

  • 17.3 oz puff pastry, thawed (2 sheets)
  • 10 oz sliced deli ham
  • 8 oz Gruyère cheese slices
  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 large egg, whisked
  • Everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Remove puff pastry from packaging and allow to thaw.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out each puff pastry sheet and cut into 6 rectangles.
  4. Brush the edges of each pastry with egg wash and spread Dijon mustard in the center.
  5. Place one slice of cheese and folded ham on top of the mustard.
  6. Fold opposite corners toward the center to enclose the filling and seal.
  7. Transfer pastries to the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  9. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden, puffed, and cheese is melted.
  10. Cool slightly and serve warm.
