Feta & Cranberry Swirls

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 200 g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 120 g grated mozzarella
  • ½ tsp dried mint or oregano
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1 tsp milk (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Honey
  • Fresh rosemary (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Crumble the feta finely and mix with mozzarella, dried herbs, and egg white.
  3. Spread cranberry sauce lightly over the top half of the puff pastry, then spread the cheese mixture evenly over it.
  4. Fold the pastry over, press gently, and smooth the surface.
  5. Cut into 1 cm strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
  6. Twist each strip, then roll into a swirl shape.
  7. Place on the baking sheet, brush with egg yolk mixed with milk, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Bake on the lower rack for 28–32 minutes until deep golden and fully baked.
  9. Drizzle lightly with honey and garnish with rosemary if desired. Serve warm or cold.
