Giant Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe (Big Batch)

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 6 cups peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Warm the Sugar and Milk
In a very large, heavy-bottomed pot, combine the sugar and milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture becomes smooth and begins to bubble gently. Use a large pot — this mixture rises as it heats.

2. Stir in the Peanut Butter
Once bubbling, add all of the peanut butter.
Stir continuously until completely melted and fully combined. The mixture will become thick, smooth, and glossy.

3. Add the Vanilla
Remove the pot from heat.
Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly incorporated.

4. Pour and Chill
Pour the hot fudge mixture into greased or parchment-lined pans.
Spread evenly with a spatula.
Refrigerate for several hours, or until fully set.

Cutting and Serving:

  • Once firm, cut into small squares — this fudge is rich.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Storage Tips:

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • This fudge also freezes well for longer storage.

Optional Variations

  • Swirl melted chocolate over the top before chilling.
  • Add chopped peanuts for extra crunch.
  • Sprinkle a light layer of sea salt on top for a sweet-salty finish.

This giant peanut butter fudge batch is simple, nostalgic, and incredibly satisfying — a classic recipe that never lasts long.
