Ingredients:
- 40 saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 pan with parchment and spray lightly.
- Arrange 40 saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt 1 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar. Bring to a full bubble across the surface, then boil 3 minutes without stirring.
- Immediately pour the hot toffee over the crackers and spread evenly.
- Bake for 5 minutes, until the caramel bubbles.
- Remove from oven, rest 1–2 minutes, then sprinkle 2 cups chocolate chips over the top.
- Return to the warm, turned-off oven for 1 minute to melt the chocolate.
- Spread into a smooth layer. Cool 20 minutes, then refrigerate 3–4 hours until firm.
- Lift using parchment and cut or break into pieces. Enjoy!
