Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Cook for 6–8 minutes until softened and caramelized. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the sliced steak to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  4. Return the onions and peppers to the skillet and toss everything together.
  5. Layer provolone cheese over the mixture, cover briefly, and let the cheese melt.
  6. Spoon the filling into toasted hoagie rolls.
  7. Serve hot.
