Cherries in the Snow Dessert

Ingredients:

Creamy Layer:

  • 12 oz block-style cream cheese, room temperature
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • ⅓ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

Base & Topping:

  • 1 prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cream Layer:
    In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
    Add powdered sugar and mix until fully combined.
    Slowly add the milk and vanilla extract, beating until creamy.
    Fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
  2. Assemble the Dessert:
    Spread half of the angel food cake cubes across the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
    Spoon half of the cream mixture over the cake.
    Add the remaining cake cubes, then the rest of the cream mixture.
    Spread the cherry pie filling evenly on top.
  3. Chill:
    Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best texture.
  4. Serve:
    Slice into squares and serve chilled.
