Apple Caramel Bombs

Ingredients:

  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced small
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 8 soft caramel candies (or 8 teaspoons caramel sauce)

Optional Coating:

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup cinnamon sugar (1/3 cup sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Apple Filling:
In a small skillet, melt the butter. Add diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  2. Fill the Biscuits:
Flatten each biscuit. Add a spoonful of the apple mixture and one caramel candy to the center. Pinch edges tightly to seal and form a ball.
  3. Bake or Air-Fry:
    • Oven: Place bombs seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden.
    • Air Fryer: Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes.
  4. Optional Coating:
Brush warm bombs with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar for extra sweetness.
  5. Serve:
Enjoy warm for the best caramel center.

Tips:

  • Use canned biscuit dough or crescent dough.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg for deeper flavor.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream for a dessert-style version.
