Ingredients:
For the Dough (if making homemade):
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2¼ teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Or:
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (13–16 oz)
OR - 1 ball fresh pizza dough (450 g)
Filling:
- 1 to 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup mini pepperoni or chopped regular pepperoni (optional)
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Garlic Butter Topping:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Make the Dough (Skip if using store-bought):
In a bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
Cover and let rise for 45–60 minutes, or until doubled in size. - Prepare the Pizza Roll Breadsticks:
Roll out the dough into a large rectangle, about 10×14 inches.
Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over half of the dough.
Add pepperoni and Italian seasoning.
Fold the dough over the filling to create a long, flat rectangle.
Press edges to seal. - Cut and Twist:
Slice the dough into 10–12 strips.
Twist each strip gently and place on the baking sheet. - Make the Garlic Butter:
Combine melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and Parmesan.
Brush generously over each breadstick. - Bake:
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. - Serve:
Brush with additional garlic butter if desired.
Serve warm with marinara sauce or ranch.
