Crazy Dough Recipe for Pizza, Cinnamon Rolls, and More!

Ingredients : 

  • 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (240ml) warm milk (110°F / 45°C)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

1. Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
Let it sit for 5–10 minutes, until it becomes foamy.

2. Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
Add the egg, melted butter, and the yeast mixture.
Mix until a rough dough forms.

3. Knead

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
(Or use a stand mixer with a dough hook for about 5 minutes.)

4. First Rise

Place the dough into a greased bowl.
Cover with a damp towel and let it rise in a warm place for 60–90 minutes, or until doubled in size.

Use Your Crazy Dough As You Like

For Pizza Dough:

Roll out the dough, add your favorite toppings, and bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12–15 minutes.

For Cinnamon Rolls:

Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread with butter, cinnamon, and sugar.
Roll up tightly, slice, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes.

For Dinner Rolls:

Shape into balls and place on a baking sheet.
Let rise again for 30 minutes, then bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes.

Enjoy! Brush with melted butter after baking for extra softness and flavor.
