Ingredients
(Makes about 10–12 trees)
- 1 roll puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 3–4 tablespoons basil pesto
- 2 tablespoons Parmigiano cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet over parchment paper.
- Spread the basil pesto evenly across the pastry using a spoon or spatula.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmigiano cheese on top.
- Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide.
- Fold and shape each strip into a Christmas tree (zig-zag pattern). Insert a skewer or stick in the middle if desired.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly, then serve warm or at room temperature.
