Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups carrots, thinly sliced
- 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheese blend)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef (or turkey) with the onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the cooked meat, potatoes, carrots, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble: Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake: Cook covered for 45 minutes.
- Add cheese: Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake 15 more minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the vegetables are tender.
- Rest & serve: Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
