Ingredients:
- 32 oz (900 g) bag frozen tater tots
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about 200 g)
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz / 30 g)
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (about 250 g)
- 200 g cooked smoked turkey, crumbled (as a bacon alternative)
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup (120 ml) sour cream or heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a large casserole dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream (or heavy cream), and ranch seasoning.
- Stir in the shredded chicken, smoked turkey, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
- Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots.
- Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
- Garnish with fresh chives before serving.
