Chicken Crunch Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 32 oz (900 g) bag frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about 200 g)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz / 30 g)
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (about 250 g)
  • 200 g cooked smoked turkey, crumbled (as a bacon alternative)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup (120 ml) sour cream or heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a large casserole dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream (or heavy cream), and ranch seasoning.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken, smoked turkey, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
  5. Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots.
  6. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
  8. Garnish with fresh chives before serving.
